Little Gadgets. Big Design.

LilGadgets is not a headphone company… we’re just a couple of parents. As a young family with two small children, we’re often trying to find good-quality products for our kids, that are safe and age-appropriate. But what we mostly find are children’s products covered in cartoons, of very low quality, or just plain ugly.

We’re not designers, but we are total design geeks with a passion for cool products. We used what we knew as parents and customers, learned what we didn’t, and worked to build a pair of headphones that we thought our girls deserved. Using our kids for inspiration, and as test subjects, we came up with some products that we liked, and thought maybe you’d like them too.

Our mission at LilGadgets is to provide kids with a product they can love, and an experience they can enjoy… same goes for parents. We truly hope our headphones make your entire family happy and give you a chance to connect, share, and love.

We limited volume, not performance.

Products for children don’t have to be cartoonish or low quality, but they often are. LilGadgets are high-quality, high-performance headphones designed just for kids. Bold, but subtle. Beautiful, yet still youthful. Safe, while outperforming the status quo.

Volume limits are clearly necessary for children’s headphones, but why does it have to be industry-standard that kids can’t hear over the din of the road? Or the roar of the airplane engines? Or the hiss of the crowd? Or even the vacuum cleaner?

The assumed industry standard for volume safety is 85db. Yet, most users aren’t aware that listening duration is the compounding ingredient and one of the main causes of hearing damage. 85db is safe for eight hours of continuous listening and was chosen specifically for its duration. But this makes the conventional volume limit unreliable in noisy situations such as air and car travel, which can have ambient sound levels well above 85db.

Rethinking the standard. Adorably durable. They may look sweet but these rascals can rumble.

The padded, fixed-earcup design of our headphones creates passive noise reduction, bringing outside noise levels down by 13db. That’s among the best in the industry, and means even in loud situations, kids won’t have to max out the volume — extending battery life and creating even safer listening.

Our headphones are constructed like no others. We manufacture our products from, not only a hearing safety standpoint but from a child safety standpoint as well.

Small parts? Cuts? Choking? Strangulation? We’ve rigorously covered every detail from the fold to the audio jack, from grip-of-fit to cord durability. We’ve thought deeply about keeping kids safe and worked hard to ensure LilGadgets surpasses the toughest consumer protection requirements in the most stringent children’s product class: toys.
