ORLANDO, Fla. —Some of Disney’s most-beloved songs are set for re-release this month, but you’ll need need a turntable to play them.

“Disney’s Favorite Songs,” a 12-inch vinyl record with songs from Disney films, and a 10-inch record with the soundtracks to “The Skeleton Dance” and “Three Little Pigs,” will be released on Record Store Day, which is April 16.

Started in 2007, Record Store Day is a global celebration of the independent music store. Typically, records are pressed and distributed exclusively at participating shops. The records often include new releases, colored vinyl pressings and out-of-print re-releases.

“Disney’s Favorite Songs” is a compilation of eight classic and modern Disney hits and includes:

  • “When You Wish Upon a Star” from “Pinocchio”
  • “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from “Cinderella”
  • “Chim Chim Cher-ee” from “Mary Poppins”
  • “I Wan’na Be Like You” from “The Jungle Book”
  • “Part of Your World” from “The Little Mermaid”
  • “Beauty and the Beast” from “Beauty and the Beast”
  • “I See the Light” from “Tangled”
  • “Let It Go” from “Frozen”

The songs on “Disney’s Favorite Songs” have never appeared together on a vinyl record. The record will be limited to 5,000 copies.

“The Silly Symphony Collection: The Skeleton Dance / Three Little Pigs” is limited to 2,500 copies.

“Silly Symphony” is a series of 75 animated short films produced by Walt Disney Productions from 1929 to 1939. The films were a workshop for experimentation in the animation process.
