‘We’re all keeping our fingers crossed here, as we have serious competition’, says Arckit’s Damien Murtagh.
Arckit’s architectural kits GO Colours has entered the finals for the ASTRA Best Toys for Kids Award, in the Constructive Play eight plus years category.
The Best Toys for Kids Award has been designed to increase consumer awareness of the value of creative, open-ended play.
Arckit GO Colours builds on the success of the company’s architectural model system, and will be available in many of ASTRA’s stores, as well as online and in Barnes & Noble.
Damien Murtagh, founder of Arckit, said: “It’s incredible to be nominated for another award this year, especially alongside iconic brands such as LEGO.
“There’s been a huge demand for GO Colours, as the focus is on free-form play and discovering what your child can do, rather than what the product can do.
It’s about exploring the world of architecture and building in a fun way; learning hands-on design skills that can be applied to many other areas of education.”
Winners of the awards will be notified in July, with a press announcement set for release in early autumn.
Murtagh added: “We’re all keeping our fingers crossed here, as we have serious competition. We would like to thank everyone for their amazing support.”
