Based off of new research coming from sharpbrains.com, playing together can make a bit difference in your brain. Whether you’re having a game night with your favorite board game or solving a crossword together, working on a mentally stimulating task with your favorite brains can actually increase the cognitive benefits of the task!

In 2008, three different groups of people were put together to a) discuss a social issue, b) watch episodes of Seinfeld, and c) solve crossword puzzles and other stimulating activities. Results showed that those who participated in in the intellectually challenging activities as a group reported strong cognitive function.

Social interaction involves many behaviors that require memory, attention, and control. This acts as a primer for your cognitive functions, the oil to your machine if you well, that gets your brain warmed up while you think critically.
